FAQ

Question:

No Elite Control Interface Detected, Flight will be halted after 3 min.

Answer:

This error indicates the program does not recognize the UCI box. The proper way of testing the UCI this is by double clicking on the PROP/PCATD icon, immediately after the last click hold down the “C” key on your keyboard until a box opens that allows your com port to be selected and tested. You will need to select one and test it, after the test button has been pressed there is a window that will indicate your serial number. Compare the number displayed with the original on your software. If there is no serial number it means that the UCI is not communicating with the program, basically that needs to happen before you continue otherwise you will keep getting the error message.
Fixing it could be something simple as disconnecting the power on the UCI for 5 seconds and the connecting it again (resets the UCI) or it could be something a bit more complex as your com ports being disabled in your system BIOS. If you do not have any com ports to select from on the menu, you will need to go in to your system Bios and change your com ports to an active address (you will need to consult with the manufacturer of your mother board for more info). Also please make sure that you don’t have any palm or synching software running in your task bar.
If you do not have a UCI box and you have a USB Key and you still receive this error you will need to check your control panel on the icon called WIBU. Consult the diagram below for the two important items to look for.
