Map Screen

This virtual "command center" allows you to train and evaluate your flights with unparalleled precision. Shoot virtually any IFR approach in the world, then evaluate your performance on ELITE's map screen.

Replay your flight with plan, profile, and extended profile views. ELITE gives you access to all the flight parameters stored in its flight data recorder. Track gear and flap position, airspeed, altitude, flightpath, and more. Learn instantly what corrections are necessary to improve your next flight. Practice difficult intersection holds, DME arcs, NDB approaches, SIDs and STARs. Simple click-and-drag aircraft repositioning lets you easily set up for any procedure.

Don't know a particular frequency? ELITE's map screen is like a virtual Airport Facility Directory. Just click on any NAVaid, fix or airport and an information box appears with name, identifier, frequency, coordinates, variation and elevation where applicable.

Combined with its sophisticated instrument platform, ELITE's map screen is a powerful tool that can be used to better visualize instrument procedures and hone situational awareness skills.

Control Screen
Fly one of our ATC scenarios and feel what it's like to fly "in the system". Listen on frequency for your call sign and comply with ATC's instructions for a smooth approach. Set aircraft weight characteristics by adjusting fuel levels and loading. Save aircraft "state" files to quickly return to a specific location and configuration - very useful for practicing the same procedure repeatedly.

Malfunctions Screen

Set instrument, system, power plant, or avionics failures to help you keep sharp on emergency procedures and "what if" scenarios. Just make sure your scan is up in case you have to go to partial panel! Manipulate your engine power performance.

Weather Screen
Set specific values for turbulence, wind speed/direction, ceiling, visibility, pressure, and temperature. Choose to have conditions remain static, or dynamically changing. Set random variables for wind speed/direction and ceiling for an element of unpredictability. You can even save unique weather "states" for use later along with any flight.

Modification Screen
Update ELITE's navigational database. Access and revise critical data with the same intuitive panels used throughout the program. Just dial in a new frequencey or push a button to select a different approach lighting configuration. It's all here... NAVaids, fixes, runways, holding patterns, etc. Save time and money staying up-to-date without having to purchase navigational database updates.

Use this screen to set simulator preferences, configure flight controls and hardware, adjust sound properties, and specify instrument configuration/operation.
